This is the year of the strangest World Cup ever, the one in Qatar, starting in two days. Roma will have four players playing in it: Viña, Rui Patricio, Zalewski and Dybala.

Dybala and Argentina

Dybala will play with his beloved Argentina, and his Serie A teammates will be Lautaro Martinez and Joaquin Correa from Inter Milan, Leandro Paredes and Angel Di Maria from Juventus, and Nico Gonzalez from Fiorentina, called up by coach Lionel Scaloni. La Joya will, fortunately, be able to play in the World Cup after fully recovering from the injury that prevented him from participating in the last league games with Roma. As the Special One, fans, and Giallorossi staff expected, Dybala's start to the season has been extremely satisfying. Roma's number 21 has collected an impressive nine out of 15 appearances in the league. Eight of them were played from the first minute and five were out due to injury. Three out of his six appearances in the Europa League were out due to injury. He scored a total of seven goals in both competitions. Argentina knows it can win the World Cup. It is undoubtedly one of the favorites, but Dybala will have a lot of competition in the attack. Just think of the presence of the great Lionel Messi and his "Italian" teammates. Argentina will play in Group C with Saudi Arabia, Mexico, Poland in Qatar

Viña and Uruguay

Viña will play with the Uruguay national team, called-up by coach Diego Alonso along with his Serie A teammates Vecino and Olivera. The Giallorossi defender has collected three appearance: one chosen in the starting 11 and two games as a substitute. The Uruguayan national team will play in Group H, as will Portugal. Although so far, Matias Viña has been a starter for Uruguay's national team, the Giallorossi defender's presence on the field during the World Cup is not guarunteed. In fact, as long as Viña played with Palmeiras he did a really good job. He registered several appearances, many more than he did with Roma. He even scored a few goals and earned the starting jersey for his national team. However, from his performance shown in AS Roma, he was not one of the first choices. The first match when Uruguay will take the field will be on Thursday, November 24th at 2 p.m.: Uruguay-South Korea. This will be followed by Portugal-Uruguay on Monday, November 28th at 8 p.m. and Ghana-Uruguay Friday, December 2nd at 4 p.m.

Rui Patricio and Portugal

Rui Patricio will probably not be the first goalkeeper despite the call-up of Fernando Santos for the Portugal. The only Serie A partner that the goalkeeper will have is Leao of AC Milan. At this start of the season, Roma's No. 1 has played 15 out of 15 games in the league and six out of six in the Europa League. He has mainly maintained a rather good performance and has always kept the statistics of saves higher than those of goals conceded. Although he played the European Championships as a starter, it is still unclear whether his presence at the World Cup will be interfered with by his fellow goalkeepers. Portugal will play its first matches in Group H.  The Portuguese national team's first World Cup match will be played on Thursday, November 24th at 5 p.m. against Ghana. Monday, November 28th at 8 p.m. against Uruguay, there will be the two Giallorossi players Rui Patricio and Viña clash.

Nicola Zalewski and Poland

Nicola Zalewski will take the field with Poland, along with 10 other Serie A players called-up by Polish coach Czesław Michniewicz. The young defensive winger, despite having both Italian and Polish citizenship, decided to join the Polish national team to represent his parents' country. He has already participated in the national Under-20 team in 2019. He has played 13 out of 15 games in the league and five out of six games in the Europa League. Due to his recent debut, it will be difficult to see him as a starter, but he could still make some appearances with his national team. Poland will play the qualifiers in Group C, who like Argentina, will be a difficult team to take out.
In the first match of the World Cup, Poland will take Messico on Tuesday, November 22nd at 5 p.m. The most anticipated clash against Argentina will be on November 30th at 8 p.m.
